We offer a complete solution for your operations. From the beginning of the process, right to the end, including waste management and reporting. All you have to worry about is getting the job done.

Breathing Air Test
According to HSE and U.K. laws and regulations, it is important to keep breathing air quality maintained through regular checks and testing of equipment and the compressed air supply. The U.K. Health and Safety guidelines say that breathing air tests should be carried out at intervals of every three months. Moreover, employers must ensure that contaminants are not affecting the quality of air supplied by mobile air compressor systems. As per the law compressed air used for breathing must comply with the levels of contamination permissible outlined in EN 12021.

RPE / PPE
Reusable Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) should be tested every month, or every three months in case of less usage while RPE tests should be recorded and these records should be kept for five years.
What Is Air Quality Testing?
Breathing air quality testing is for those workers who are using compressed air lines or cylinder respiratory equipment. Breathing air testing provides reassurance that the air they are breathing is adequately safe in the harsh and dangerous working environment.
According to AS1715:2009 Selection, one should use and maintain respiratory protection equipment guidelines to protect themselves from hazards.
Breathing air tests are used in many industries to allow workers to breathe clean air while operating in challenging environments.

A workplace environment is considered as challenging and harsh when:
- There is not sufficient oxygen to breath
- There is the existence of gases or vapours including carbon monoxide, chlorine and solvent vapour
- There are solid airborne particles like dust, asbestos, bacteria and fungal spores
- There are liquid particles like spray paint, pesticides or oil mist

Spray Booth Testing
If you have a system in your workplace for extracting harmful dust and fume (such as a spray booth) you may not realise that, by law, it needs to be periodically tested for effectiveness. Health and safety regulations state that every LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) system must be regularly tested and maintained in good working order. In partnership with API Environmental Solutions, we offer LEV testing on your spray booths as well as other types of LEV systems.
The Purpose of LEV Extraction Equipment
COSHH regulation states the employers mustprevent/adequately control exposure to harmful substances. LEV systems are used
to control hazardous airborne dusts, mists, and fumes, and to protect employees
from respiratory illnesses such as occupational asthma, silicosis, and lung
disease amongst others.
Do I Need to Have my LEV Tested?
COSHH reg 9 states that LEV systems must be maintained “maintainedin an efficient state, in efficient working order, in good repair and in a
clean condition”. This includes carrying out LEV testing “once in every period
of 14 months” (or more frequently for some types of systems) and testing will
thoroughly assess your systems for effectiveness. Besides staying compliant
with COSHH regulations, LEV testing has other benefits as well, including:
- Ensuring your employees health and wellbeing
- Highlighting issues before they become biggerproblems, potentially saving money on parts and downtime in the future
- Ensuring that your insurance remains valid (manyinsurers stipulate that LEV systems must be tested regularly as a condition of
your policy)
